This is a great introduction to the history of the three Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It covers the birth of each religion, as well as the basic tenets and sacred texts of each. As in the other "Dummies" books, the record is easy to conform to and very intelligible (period I would disagree with the form an opinion who clear-cut it was "for small kids").
