Comparative Religion For Dummies

BOOK: Qualified Theology FOR DUMMIES BY WILLIAM LAZARUS

This is a great introduction to the history of the three Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It covers the birth of each religion, as well as the basic tenets and sacred texts of each. As in the other "Dummies" books, the record is easy to conform to and very intelligible (period I would disagree with the form an opinion who clear-cut it was "for small kids").

Swanky to know bonus about the faiths of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam? This plain-English guide traces their evolution from their commonorigin - Abraham - and explains their narrative, yet unintentional, beliefs.You'll see how each religion adult, endured setbacks, and became a game birds in modern alliance - and you'll learn how members havedeveloped similarity approaches to dearest.

Discover:

* How the belief in one God originated

* The pedigree of Abraham's home-grown tree

* The sacred texts of each religious conviction

* Majestic similarities and differences

* How these religions influenced the world

This book is on paper from a ancient times incline by devoted scholars, and is with detachment even-handed (it doesn't support one of these religions pompous the others), which I pleasing. I would put it to somebody this book to part looking for a simple place to start in learning about the Abrahamic religions and rising their level of devoted literacy.
